Skill matrix and attributes
This page covers two related things: the skill matrix (which of your people can do what) and the service specification (technical details, required skill levels and document templates on each service).
Resource skill matrix
Section titled “Resource skill matrix”The skill matrix is the source of truth for which employee holds which skill, at what level, and until when. It underpins skill-based resource assignment.
- Open Service → Skill matrix.
- Add a skill row for an employee: the skill (from your skill master), proficiency level, certified-on date and expiry date.
- Edit or remove rows as skills are gained or lapse.
Skills nearing expiry are surfaced with an in-app badge so you can plan re-certification. Maintaining the matrix is restricted to manager, admin and HR roles, and every change is audited.
The matrix also powers dispatch: when you assign a resource to a job, the picker only offers people whose skills are current (not expired), so you never dispatch someone whose certification has lapsed.
Specify a service
Section titled “Specify a service”On a service record you can fully specify what the service involves. These details flow onto quote PDFs and job sheets.
Technical attributes
Section titled “Technical attributes”- Open the Technical attributes section on a service.
- Add an attribute with a name, unit and value, for example, “Flow Rate”, unit “m³/h”, value “50”.
- Attributes can be reordered. Duplicate names are rejected.
Custom attributes
Section titled “Custom attributes”- Open the Custom attributes section.
- Add a free-form attribute with quantity and price details.
- Optionally mark an attribute to show on PDF. Duplicate names are rejected.
Skill exposure
Section titled “Skill exposure”Skill exposure records the skill level a job demands, complementing the supply side captured in the skill matrix.
- Open the Skill exposure section.
- Add a row with the quality skill and its minimum and maximum exposure.
- The minimum may not exceed the maximum, for example, skill “Welding” with minimum 5 and maximum 2 is rejected with “minimum cannot exceed maximum”.
Document templates
Section titled “Document templates”- Open the Templates section.
- Add a template with its ID and a document URL, proposal, job sheet, completion certificate or statement of work.
- Linked files can be previewed and downloaded. Removing a link does not delete the underlying file.
All four sections add, edit and remove and persist with the service, and every change is audited.
