Navigating the app
Villva ERP uses the same layout on every screen, so once you know where things are you can move around quickly.
The main areas
Section titled “The main areas”- Sidebar navigation: down the side of the screen, this lists the modules your organisation uses (for example Assets, People, Settings). You only see modules that are switched on for your organisation and that your role is allowed to open. If a module is missing, it may be hidden in settings or not part of your role.
- Top header: carries your company logo and branding, the search box, the notification bell, and your profile menu.
- Content area: the main working space where lists, forms and dashboards appear.
Your company branding
Section titled “Your company branding”The logo and brand colour in the header and on generated documents come from your organisation’s settings. If your Org Admin uploads or changes them, the change appears across the app without anyone needing to sign out and back in. Until a logo is uploaded, a default Villva logo is shown.
The notification bell
Section titled “The notification bell”The bell icon in the header shows your recent notifications and an unread count.
- New notifications appear in real time, no need to refresh the page.
- Opening a notification marks it as read; you can also mark all as read.
- Clicking a notification jumps straight to the record it is about.
- A full notifications page lets you search and filter by type and date.
You only ever see your own notifications. To control which alerts you receive and on which channels, see Notifications.
Search
Section titled “Search”Use the search box in the header to jump to content quickly. Within a module, list screens also have their own search and filters, for example searching assets by name or reference, or employees by name or employee ID.
Your profile menu
Section titled “Your profile menu”The profile menu (usually your name or avatar in the header) is where you:
- Open your account and security settings, password, two-factor authentication, sessions and devices. See Account & security.
- Set your personal preferences, such as your notification choices.
- Sign out of this device, or sign out everywhere. See Trusted devices & active sessions.
Dates, numbers and language
Section titled “Dates, numbers and language”Timestamps, number formats and currency are shown using your organisation’s locale and timezone (Indian defaults out of the box). If you have set a personal locale, that is used instead. Your Org Admin controls these defaults in settings.
